Coutset  Maine Coons

Maine Coon Zucht

General informations / Conditions for adopting / Price

We want to get to know the future owners of our kitten personally. We do not sell kittens over the Internet.

We do not give away kittens in solitary housing (the cat buddy does not necessarily have to be a Maine Coon) or unsecured outdoor access (rare exceptions by appointment and inspection of the kitten's new habitat)
A visit to the kittens is only possible from the age of about 11 weeks (one week after the first vaccination) - by prior arrangement.

Please introduce yourself a little when you first contact us (living conditions, how many people / animals live in the household, who is at home every day for how long), we carefully select our applicants, because our kitten should find a place to live with you :-) They were raised lovingly and with competence; and this should remain the case. Your cat trusts you and loves you. It is completely dependent on you, please always remember that.

Pure price inquiries or inquiries such as "I am interested" will be deleted without any comment. Such requests do in no way reflect any kind of respect for either the breeder or the small creature, and we strictly reject this. If you are interested in a kitten from our planned litters, you can also put yourself on the waiting list without obligation. When making your enquiry and before your visit, you should note:

• Please visit only one breeder per day

• The visit is non-binding for both sides. My kittens are at least 15 weeks old at the time of delivery

• dewormed several times • vaccinated 2 times each for cat flu / feline disease (for abroad: rabies, costs at the expense of the buyer)

• chipped and registered to the name of the future owner in the pet database

 • thoroughly before the first and last vaccination veterinarian examined of course, already neutered, the all-round carefree package. The risk is at the breeder.

More often, an older or old cat should be joined by a young animal. Unfortunately, this only works well in a few cases. The needs of the two animals are simply too different. It is really much better to keep two kittens with an elderly animal. The adolescents have each other to romp around with and the older animal can join in if he feels like it, but is not overwhelmed.
When adopting siblings, we are happy to accommodate you with the price, as the kittens can grow up and live together.
Occasionally, retired breeding animals are also available.
While we're on the subject, the price.....
We mainly give kittens away as hobby animals (early neutered), for serious breeders known to us only in exceptional cases.

The price for a Maine Coon kitten is EUR 1'450.--
A deposit of EUR 450.-- must be paid to make the reservation final. Deposits are forfeited without replacement, with the exception of kittens falling ill or dying. Last minute cancellations, bad luck. My kittens are not toys. They are looking for forever homes, to live with people who are aware of their responsibility. Me as well, I've already understood that life doesn't always go the way you want it to. If someone can't keep his Coutset Coonie anymore, wants to or whatever, I'm the first point of contact, we look for and find a solution. This is stated so in the purchase contract.
